Bringing a new standard of luxury accommodation to the heart of the city, The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne made its long-awaited opening in March 2023. Its prime location, overlooking the panoramic views across the city and its bustling waterfront, makes it an attractive destination for travellers worldwide.
Micio was engaged under a design and construct subcontract to design-develop, document, manufacture and install all internal and external wayfinding and statutory signage. Micio’s collaborative efforts with the entire project team resulted in the creation of stunning wayfinding signage and architectural branding that seamlessly complement the hotel's luxurious design.
Our team spent weeks meticulously workshopping and perfecting the materials, finishes and methods to achieve the most sustainable and high-end results, including developing prototypes to evaluate production viability, materials and process, and fit for purpose solutions ensuring the outcome met all client expectations. And for a multi-storey site like The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, clear documentation, efficient project management, and seamless communication among all stakeholders were critical to ensuring its success.
